On August 13, the University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa (UHM) and Kapiʻolani Community College (KCC), in conjunction with the Honolulu Passport Agency, became the newest sites to accept completed applications for U.S. passports.

Trained UH and KCC staff will review the applications and documents for completion, and forward them to the U.S. Passport Agency for adjudication and processing. This new service, which is available to the general public, is similar to those provided at some U.S. post offices and some Hawaiʻi state libraries.

Interested patrons who are planning to travel abroad may bring in their completed passport application forms, appropriate U.S. citizenship documents, two passport photos, and a current identification. Only personal checks and money orders will be accepted as a form of payment to cover the passport fees.

At KCC, the service is available at Olapa 112 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the school year. For more information, contact Merrily Burns at 734-9720.

At UH Manoa, the service is available at the Campus Center Information and Ticket Service window from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the school year. For more information, contact James Boldman at 956-5172.
