The Will Weinstein Ethics Conversation Series starts July 12.

Will K. Weinstein, the lively and candid fund manager and former securities executive, is returning to UH Mānoa to moderate his annual Ethics Conversation Series from July 12 to August 4. Weinstein’s series of eight lectures examines business and legal ethical dilemmas that are making headlines across the U.S. and beyond.

This year, Weinstein has added two compelling new topics to his series: Ethics in Energy and the Environment on July 28, and Ethics in Politics on August 2.

The new lectures will feature well-known executives and politicians from Hawai‘i and the mainland, including Colleen Hanabusa, chair of the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation and candidate for the U.S. House; Alan Oshima, president and CEO of Hawaiian Electric Company; Jeff Ono, state executive director of the Division of Consumer Advocacy; U.S. Senator Brian Schatz; Melissa Pavlicek, co-founder of Hawaiʻi Public Policy Advocates; Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard; State Senator Les Ihara; and Stephen Jones, president and CEO of Covanta Holding Corporation.

It is Weinstein’s 13th year of presenting this series as part of his graduate summer course, “Integrity and Ethics in the Real World.”  As an added bonus, licensed attorneys who attend are eligible to receive continuing legal education credits.

The series, free and open to the public, is sponsored by the William S. Richardson School of Law and Shidler College of Business at UH Mānoa.
