Public Policy Center continues the dialog on sustainability

Honolulu Mayor Jeremy Harris returns to the UH Manoa campus this month to continue to UH Public Policy Center‘s dialogue on sustainability with an address and moderated panel discussion.
Harris will discuss Asia and the Pacific Region — The Urbanization Challenge and participate in the follow-up with discussants Michael Douglass, professor and director of the UH Globalization Research Center, and James Spencer, a faculty member in political science and urban and regional planning. The moderator will be Linda Colburn.
The program is scheduled for Tuesday, March 9, from 5:00 — 6:30 p.m. in the School of Architecture Auditorium. A welcome reception is scheduled from 4:30-5:00pm.
The Mayor has included issues of the environment and sustainability as priorities during his administration and his previous service as Honolulu‘s managing director. He was the inaugural speaker in the UH College of Social Sciences Public Policy Center‘s Distinguished Leader Dialogue Series in early February.
Co-sponsors of the dialog are the UH Manoa College of Social Sciences Public Policy Center, the National Issues Forum, the UH Manoa Department of Urban and Regional Planning, the UH Globalization Research Center, and the Office of Sustainability.
