HONOLULU - The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Program at Kapiʻolani Community College will be hosting a STEM Opportunity Expo on Thursday, November 6, 2014. This event will promote programs, degree, service and internship opportunities that are available to students who are interested in STEM careers and related fields.

With over 500 students currently participating in the STEM program, there is a great potential for partnering with these students to make a positive impact on the future of STEM's workforce in Hawaiʻi. This Expo is therefore an invitation for businesses, agencies and organizations to showcase job and career opportunities that are available to graduates, as well as an awareness for students to prepare for exciting career possibilities through STEM.

Last year's successful Expo brought over twenty agencies together:  some came from private industry, like Heide & Cooke Ltd., Engineering Systems, Hawaiʻi Nature Center, and Hawaiian Electric Company (HECO), as well as programs from the University of Hawai`i, such as the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology (SOEST), the College of Engineering, and the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR). The US Corps of Engineers was also represented.

Deadline for registering as a vendor is October 24.
