The University of Hawai`i at Mānoa College of Engineering’s graduate program in electrical engineering was ranked 84th of 173 schools in this specialization, according to the U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Graduate Schools 2012” ranking.
In the magazine’s annual evaluation of graduate school programs in the U.S., which will reach news stands in early April, UH Mānoa was ranked 84th in the specialty of electrical/electronic/communications engineering.
“We are pleased to be ranked in the top half of electrical engineering programs nationally,” said Peter E. Crouch, dean of the UH Mānoa College of Engineering. “Much of the credit goes to Electrical Engineering Department Chair Anthony Kuh and his faculty for their dedicated efforts. We are looking to continue and improve our rankings.”
U.S. News & World Report ranks professional-school programs in business, education, engineering, law and medicine. Specialty rankings are based solely on expert opinions about program quality provided by peer department heads from other schools, selected by the American Society for Engineering Education.
