Change the world. Get a jump-start on a career in education without leaving our island home. Be a part of a growing population of students enrolling in Leeward Community College’s associate of arts in teaching (AAT) degree program.

Leeward’s AAT team will present a free information session on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 to explain the degree program and answer questions. The session will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Leeward Community College campus in Room GT 105. Refreshments will be served.

The information session is open to the general public. Attendees will be able to learn more about the degree and meet the instructors, counselor and students enrolled in the program. Degree requirements, support services available for Leeward CC education majors and financial aid options will be covered.

Leeward Community College’s associate of arts in teaching degree offers a solid liberal arts core and specific education classes that prepare you as an entry-level educator or to transfer to a four-year teacher education program. The program has articulations in place with UH Mānoa, UH West Oʻahu and Chaminade University. For more information and to RSVP, call (808) 455-0467 or email mimuro@hawaii.edu.
