The public is invited to celebrate Chinese New Year with the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo on Thursday, February 10, 10 a.m.- noon on the Campus Center Plaza.

There will be cultural demonstrations such as calligraphy and Chinese horoscope. Members of the Hawai‘i Chinese Civic Association will be on hand, as well as returning study abroad students and international students from Taiwan and China, to share information about study abroad in those countries.

“People can also help a UH Hilo student study abroad by going online to http://tiny.cc/nsybc and using the flyer there at Panda Express, 368 East Maka‘ala St., on Friday, February 11,” explained Carolina Lam, director of global education at UH Hilo. “A portion of the proceeds will go to UH Hilo study abroad scholarships.”
