International Disaster Management Conference to be held at UH Mānoa

The University of Hawai`i at Mānoa College of Engineering will host the International Institute for Infrastructure Renewal and Reconstruction’s (IIIRR) annual International Conference on Disaster Management, November 15-16, 2010.  The two-day conference will be held at the UH Mānoa’s Campus Center and is co-sponsored by the American Society of Civil Engineers. Registration is $295.00 per person. Proposed topics to be discussed include: emergency preparedness, risk analysis and reliability, communications, relief work, project management, infrastructure renewal and reconstruction, water supply and housing, social infrastructure, disaster prediction, disaster statistics and health planning.
