Sony Electronics offers UH Mānoa undergraduates chance to apply for laptops

Sony Electronics Inc., in partnership with the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, is awarding up to five (5) Sony Vaio laptops to designated qualified student awardees per academic year over the next three years. The purpose of the award is to provide access to technology to students.
 
To be considered, applicants must:
1) Be enrolled as full-time undergraduates at UH Mānoa in a course of study leading to a degree (must have at least one year left as undergraduates).
2) Have some level of financial need.
3) Be from an under-represented group in higher education (i.e. Hawaiian, Filipino, Samoan).
4) Have demonstrated service to the community and/or campus as a part of their college education. Applicants should have a minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA and have completed the FAFSA for the Academic Year 2009/2010. Additional requirements are also listed on the application form.

Application deadline is Friday, March 12. Recipients will be selected by a committee appointed by the UH Mānoa Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs.
