Addendum: UH campuses closed on November 27

Athletic events at UH Manoa and UH Hilo to be held as scheduled

HONOLULU – The University of Hawaiʻi’s 10 campuses will be officially closed to the public on November 27, 2009, the day after Thanksgiving. The closure is in accordance with the recent collective bargaining settlement and to reduce energy costs to meet the budget shortfall. Certain critical or time sensitive functions or specialized facilities, such as research laboratories, will continue to operate.
 
Athletic events at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa campus will be held as scheduled. The athletics department will remain open during dates when the rest of the campus is closed. For more information, please visit http://manoa.hawaii.edu.
 
The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo will also be holding their athletic events as scheduled during its campus closure. The athletic department will be closed, but key personnel will be on site for event management.
