The University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa’s Department of Theatre and Dance will host a “Behind the Scenes Season Preview” of its upcoming theatrical productions as well as dance performances Sunday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m. on the Kennedy Theatre mainstage. This event is free and open to the public. In conjunction with UHM’s Homecoming celebration, this Department of Theatre and Dance showcase features a full line-up,  including fully staged scenes from Nobel Prize winner Harold Pinter’s The Homecoming, which opens  Nov. 13 and continues through Nov. 22; scenes of combat and song excerpts from the well-known Jingju (Beijing opera) performance of The White Snake which opens in Feb. 2010; dance performances by choreographers Jennifer McGowan and Phoebe Huang, as well as a Tahitian dance performed by Clara Bowden-Kirby; and a reading from Bertolt Brecht’s The Judith of Shimoda, which opens in May 2010.
 
No reservations or tickets are needed to attend this free preview. Those attending will also get the opportunity to enter a drawing for free tickets to the highlighted Kennedy Theatre productions.
