There is still time to apply for the fall 2009 semester at the University of Hawaiʻi-West Oʻahu (UHWO). For recently dislocated workers and high school graduates, this is an opportunity to pursue a career-focused, four-year degree in West Oʻahu. The fall admission application deadline is Aug. 1 with classes beginning on Aug. 24. Financial aid and scholarship opportunities are available. UHWO academic programs stress the exploration of interdisciplinary studies, cross-cultural and international studies and communication skills. The university provides a variety of bachelor‘s degrees designed to serve the state‘s workforce needs. In addition to many other quality programs, UHWO offers a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Health Care Administration to address the increasing need for health care workers.
