Diversity Matters @ Manoa hosts March presentations

The UH Mānoa Commission on Diversity presents two special presentations in March as part of Diversity Matters @ Mānoa.

Dr. Megan Conway, assistant professor with the Innovative and Sustainable Teaching project and the UH Mānoa Center for Disability Studies, will address, "Teaching All Students, Reaching All Learners: Universal Design for Learning and Beyond." The brown bag lunch presentation will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 9, at the Campus Center Executive Dining Room. RSVP to Velina Sugiyama at 956-5688 or velina@hawaii.edu.

Dr. Thomas E. Brown, a clinical psychologist who maintains a private practice in Hamden, Conn., specializes in assessment and treatment of high-IQ children, adolescents and adults with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and related problems. Dr. Brown will discuss "What Is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or Attention Deficit Disorder, and What Does It Mean?" Sponsored by the UH Mānoa Kokua Program, the presentation will be held at the Architecture Department Auditorium from 1:30-3:30 pm. on Wednesday, March 11.

Both events are free and open to the general public. Parking is available for $3 at the Dole Street parking structure.
