The UH Manoa off-campus Rainbow Shuttle is expanding its five-nights-a-week service to seven nights beginning next week. While the service is expanding, it is still considered a trial program through the end of the fall semester.

Also, the shuttle service ends its free rides this weekend. Beginning Sunday, October 1, students will need to have a shuttle sticker on their UH ID cards to continue to ride to Waikiki, Ala Moana, the Ward shopping and entertainment complex and Restaurant Row. The stickers are on sale at the UH parking office for $20 to cover the remainder of the semester.

As previously announced, however, students who already have the U-PASS for city bus service may continue to ride the Rainbow Shuttle to these areas at no additional charge.

Meanwhile, residents of UH Manoa student housing — the main customers for the new service — are being asked to respond to a questionnaire about how they use both the off-campus and on-campus shuttle services and what changes they would recommend. Answers to the survey questions will be factored into the decision to continue the service when school resumes in January.
