International Agreements

The University of Hawai'i at Mānoa partners with research and educational institutions all over the world, which provide networking and exchange opportunities for students, faculty and scholars. Currently, UHM partners internationally with over 90 overseas institutions, including 61 student exchange agreements.

Various academic units on the UHM campus, with the assistance of Manoa International Exchange staff, maintain and support international agreements with universities all around the world. A student exchange agreement with an overseas university can be proposed to MIX by faculty from any of the academic units on the UHM campus. Student exchange agreements are always based on reciprocity, and there must be demonstrated interest that UHM students want to go abroad to each new partner university, and that these students will benefit from the exchange.

UHM faculty interested in proposing a new student exchange partner university should complete an International Agreement Proposal Form and submit it to MIX (QLC 206). NOTE: First, save the form as a PDF, then fill it out and resave.

If your academic unit has an agreement that is nearing expiration, please complete an Agreement Renewal Form and submit it to MIX (QLC 206). NOTE: First, save the form as a PDF, then fill it out and resave.
