The 2011 Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition is the culmination a multi-year curriculum of academic study within the Department of Art and Art History, University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. This annual exhibition presents the very finest art and design work created during the final stages of the BFA candidates’ coursework. The exhibition features recent undergraduate works in ceramics, drawing/painting, electronic art, fiber, glass, graphic design, intermedia, photography, printmaking, and sculpture.

A Concert with Cellist Mineo Hayashi
Orvis Auditorium
May 29, 6:00pm – 8:30pm
The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa presents A Concert with Cellist Mineo Hayashi.
Since 1976, Hayashi has been based primarily in Switzerland from where he travels all over the world to give cello concerts. This performance is Hayashi's third at the University.
He will be joined by pianist Yukie Okuyama. Yukie Okuyama graduated from the Seitoku Gakuen College and Musashino Academia Musicae. She studied under Junko Aoyama, Noriko Hirayama, Yasuko Hisatomi, Rudolf Kehner and Alexander Jenner. She currently teaches piano and plays for a chamber music ensemble in Hokkaido.
