Leaders
A number of distinguished leaders have steered University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa from its founding in 1907. UH Mānoa and the entire University of Hawaii System were overseen by a single president until 1972. The chancellorship was then established to direct the growing Mānoa campus. During periods of transition the UH System president has also served as chancellor of UH Mānoa.
